Steve got in but none of his bags made it. We laughed because it's the second year in a row that we've had "Second Christmas" with Uncle Steve! He didn't get a very restful Christmas this year. Josh had plenty of projects for him! But together they got the kitchen in and it looks lovely! I made the Christmas cinnamin rolls in the downstairs kitchen but cooked them in my new oven and they were good if I do say so myself!
The day after we got into the living room we were already to go get the Christmas tree and to decorate! This is all of us with ornaments that my uncle and his wife sent to us! They are beautiful!
My dad is called Opa by our kids. Here's Luka and his Opa looking at the pretty poor selection of left over Christmas trees! But we found one in the end!
Everyone got so many nice gifts and as we sat around the fire and heard the church bells ringing as Josh told the Christmas story we felt unbelievably blessed! He told the story of Jesus birth as well as our traditional story about the time Josh and I were on our way home after celebrating Christmas eve with Dave and Connie in Czech. Our van broke down and we spent the night in the van at a rest stop. You'll have to ask Josh for the whole story sometime.
But this year he added to his repetoire how the Lord used the song I heard the bells on Christmas Day to encourage us in the process of getting the house. It was very sweet how when Josh began the story the bells of the little church across the street began to ring and just as he ended they stopped.
How's that for God signature on this whole thing?
